St Paul's Convent

St Paul's convent was built in the 15th century over remains of another earlier religious building, in which Gothic style stands out among other architectural styles.

Its chapel has a granite façade, Gothic-arched portal, all framed with an alfiz, which is topped with a double-arched bell-gable with a triangular tympanum, built in the 17th century.

The convent currently belongs to the enclosed Order of Poor Clares, whose nuns, as well as those of the Infirmary of St Anthony, bake delicious traditional cakes.
