Sande's Mansion and Tower

Both the manor house of Sande's family as its impressive tower are in Gothic style. It could have been built around the last quarter of the 15th century over another oldest house.

The following features are noticeable: the mullioned windows (paired windows divided by a mullion, set beneath a single arch, called ajimez in Spanish) on tower and mansion; the impressive machicolation of the watchtower supported by nine corbels as well as another Gothic windows of the tower.

Like in other Cáceres palaces, the tower was lopped (demolished its crenellate) by order of the Catholic Monarchs and its roof is resting directly over the walls. The tower had to be even more impressive when was topped with battlements.
