It's an impressive Gothic palace from 15th century with a magnificient arch of huge voussoirs and a nice corner balcony. From Amargura street, at the back of the Cathedral, its round tower which comes from the early days of the city reconquest (12th century), can be seen. It's probably the rest of a fortress built in the first Christian possession of the town, which occurred between 1169 and 1173.

The fabulous courtyard is a good example of the style used in other palaces in town. It can be visited free of charge.
